It was helpful to see everyone’s opinions on what should and shouldn’t be considered for a replay value score. In the future, I will definitely ask similar questions in this column, knowing that people are so responsive. Thanks again! Onto the meat and mac 'n’ cheese of this review. I know I’ve talked a lot about PAIN here already, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. The new PAIN content—namely, two new game modes, called Fortress and Darts—has been released, and they are better than expected. In case you have never heard about PAIN Fortress, it’s basically a mode where you fling your
person at opponents' fortresses in order to knock the fortresses over. I figured there would be one Fortress
level, since it takes place up in the sky in a decidedly different
zone from the city, amusement park, and movie studio zones. However,
there is actually a version of Fortress for each of these zones. The
difference is, t PAIN Darts is where you fling people-darts, as well as explosives, at a dart board, trying to stick your own darts and knock off your opponents'. There is also a variation of Darts for all three of the established PAIN zones. To cause you a bit of trouble, your opponents have a variety of obstacles at their disposal to prevent your darts from hitting their marks. Each of these new modes is compatible with up to
four players, and they definitely add a ton of fun and replay value
(see, we come full circle) to the game. If you haven’t played PAIN
yet, this might be your perfect opportunity to start! The ENTIRE
